CPA programs

The third ad program being used is CPA, which stands for Cost per Action. CPA'S are also known as affiliate. With this method, publisher gets paid only if the visitor has clicked over certain banner and then performed certain action over the advertiser's site. That’s why it is called Cost per Action. Normally the action the publisher gets paid for is for sale, or for lead.
Sale - Only if the visitor entered through your link to the advertiser's site and buy something you get paid certain commission.
Lead - Only if the visitor entered through your link to the advertiser's site and filled up a form (with the visitor's details) the publisher gets paid.

When should I use CPA ad program?

The best place to use CPA ads is when you know the visitor want to do the requested action, or is willing to do more then just clicking over the ad. Example: we have a site about X-box games and their prices. Now Lets say we have some affiliates with stores selling X-box's games. We can add for each game on the list an affiliate link which says buy now. It makes sense that people who know what the price is, and had pressed the given link would probably going to buy in the next few minutes, it simple as that. Bad example for placing affiliate banner would be on general subject site with untargeted traffic, or a place in which visitors whom would click over affiliate are simply clicking for checking without deeper motivation to do anything further. An example for bad affiliate place would be as our former example of X-box gaming site. However, over here we don't show the games prices. Those of our visitors whom would click over the ads maybe surprise from the prices when they reach the real store, and just close the window, continuing to the next site.

How much can I earn with CPA's?

CPA ad programs considered the highest paying program over the advertising field. This is because you are playing 100% middleman and if it results in a sale, you are getting a commission, like in any other business model. The rates for CPA vary a lot from as low as 3$ to 100$ and more. It basically all depends of what you have sold. Traditionally, Leads produce smaller amount of revenue then Sales. Now let's do some calculations. We know that the average CTR is 1% and from 1000 page impressions you get about 10 clicks .If the average for every 100 clicks is 1 sale (person actually buys something) and your commission is 50$. You would need 10,000 page impressions for 50$. This gives us 100$ for 20,000 page views, or if we have 1,000 page views a day, we would see at the end of the month 150$! Comparing other advertising programs, that consider high.
